April 22, 2010: “Macro and Close-up” LPC Competition Night

The classical definition of macro photography is that the image projected on the “film plane” (i.e., film or digital sensor) is close to the same size as the subject.  This competition will expand that definition to include “close-up” images taken by cameras or lenses that are not capable of obtaining a 1:1 magnification.  Judge: Corey Hilz, http://www.coreyhilz.com/

The competition starts at 7pm, but please show up early to get your images signed-in.

Join us for dinner with the judge, Corey Hilz, at 5:30 pm at Rubino’s (20035 Ashbrook Commons in Ashburn).  Here is a mapquest link to the restaurant location and a link to their menu.
