Carol Ann Smith, General Manager of Calumet Photo in Tysons corner has offered to attend one of our club meetings and do an educational presentation. So, this month Geoff Archer will give a presentation that will focus mainly on two themes. First he will provide information on cleaning, care and maintenance of camera sensors. Second he’ll give an overview of the equipment commonly used for calibration of monitors and possibly a demonstration of calibration. In addition, he’ll provide some information on Calumet discounts that are available to camera club members along with some other general information about Calumet Photo.
Geoff is a local Washington DC area photographer as well. From his website www.archerimaging.com Geoff writes: “I have worked in the photo industry, in the Washington DC area, for over 30 years. During that time I have worked for some of the largest camera stores in the area. My work included helping the professional, amateur, and “weekend warrior” photographer to carefully select and knowledgeably use photographic equipment. I am well versed in the major DSLR cameras, including medium format digital cameras. I am also experienced in large format and high-speed event printers.”
